Do you like singing silly songs? Reading to children? Getting messy? Playing outside? If you do, Oak Lane Day Care might be the right place for you!

Several years’ experience in an early childhood setting along with courses in education (CDA, Associates degree or bachelor’s degree) is required. We will also consider someone currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program for education or a related field. Familiarity with Reggio Emilia is a highly desired as is certification in early childhood education or an advanced degree.

We are looking for someone who connects well with children and is able to provide an individualized play based curriculum.  The successful applicant will be able to work well with colleagues and parents in our close knit community.

As part of our team, you will plan and implement curriculum, supervise children with kindness and respect, and share the task of keeping our school clean, neat and inviting.

Physical demands of teaching at Oak Lane:

  1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and be able to get on a child’s level in order to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
  2. Must be able to be outdoors for periods of up to one hour in temperatures ranging from 25 to 90 degrees.
  3. Must be able to see and hear well enough to both supervise and interact with children.

Candidates will fill both full time (Young Toddler co-teacher) and part time positions beginning in late August.  There may be some part time summer hours (June, July and August) available as well.  Oak Lane Day Care offers teachers a competitive hourly rate along with generous PTO,  employer subsidized health insurance, and SIMPLE IRA with employer match.
